Gardening Gift Ideas
Are you looking for the perfect gift for a garden enthusiast. As a garden designer in Oxford I thought I’d share some ideas that might inspire you.
Most garden lovers can’t resist buying a plant even if they have nowhere to put it. So you’ll usually see pots planted up in their gardens. So I love Whichford Pottery these are beautiful pots of all different shapes and sizes. You’ll also find beautiful teracotta pots in all garden centres but make sure they are frost resistant.
If you’re going to give the pot in person you could buy a plant to go in the pot and some lovely Christmas plants are the Helleborus orientalis. The little white flowers are a lovely gardening gift. Helleborus niger is called the Christmas rose.
Gardeners can’t avoid getting muddy hands so a lovely soap is a treat. I’ve always enjoyed the l’occitane soaps Loccitane, enjoying the delicious smells of these soaps is a delight.
Whilst this might seem a boring present gardening gloves are always a great present, you can never have too many gardening gloves. RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) has a fabulous collection of gloves. If you need a little help I personally like RHS gold leaf soft touch, the Niwaki and the Burgon and Ball Gloves were once a present to me and I loved them.
When all the gardening is done it’s time to enjoy the garden relaxing in the garden and I think a lovely cushion and a throw can make sitting in the garden more comfortable, I love Suzie Watson. Suzie Watson has some beautiful cushions and throws.
Treats are also a great gift. I don’t know many gardeners that don’t like a cup of tea and a piece of cake or a biscuit.
A final gift idea is consulting with a garden designer for border design. If you’d like to gift this please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss.
I hope this gives you some gardening gift ideas.
