A New House a New Garden

January 15, 2025 by Samantha Willis

A New House in Oxfordshire – A New Garden

Is exciting to move into a new house. A New House in Oxfordshire is a chance to create the garden you want.

We created a garden for this beautiful house in Woodstock on the new Blenheim Estate Park View

We extended the patio matching the paving to the existing paving to enable more space for sitting out and relaxing in the garden.

We created the beautiful borders by removing some of the lawn area. This also makes it easier to mow with borders against the wall and fence panels. If you have a New Garden to design you can choose all the plants you want and the colours you like. A New Garden provides the opportunity to work with a Garden Designer and create the garden you want.
As a garden designer we will consider providing all year round interest with shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plant.

The beautiful Cotswold stone wall we uplight with some Collingwood lights.

This is also an opportunity to consider lighting in your garden lighting paths to creating features in your garden. In this instance we uplight the beautiful Cotswolds stone wall.

If you have a new garden and need some help with your garden design in Oxfordshire please don’t hestiate to give us a call.Contact 0771 858 6105

Garden Ideas Small Courtyard Garden

Garden Ideas Small Courtyard Garden

What do you do with a paved garden. Some small courtyard gardens are often all paved but you don’t have to suffer with no planting in the garden.
I designed a garden in Woodstock a few years ago and we maintained the existing paving but cut into it to create a country style garden affect and also improved the drainage.

We even created a small raised bed at the bottom of the garden providing seating and interest. We ensured that we removed the paving and didn’t build ontop of the paving to improve drainage. So your small courtyard garden can be interesting and not just a depressing paved area. If you need some design inspiration from a Garden Designer Cotswolds please contact us. We design and work with the landscapers to deliver the garden you want.

Garden Landscaping

November 24, 2024 by Samantha Willis

Need some garden inspiration

This garden was designed and landscaped in Oxfordshire. The garden needed a make over. The desire was to design the garden into rooms.
The three rooms have different purposes and are designed to enjoy them as the sun moves around the garden. There is a dining area at the top of the garden. A breakfast area by the herringbone paving. Bistro tables and chairs to follow. The bottom area has space for a table tennis table.

We created the design and did the garden landscaping to create the different areas with clear deliniations with the rose arches dividing the rooms and yew hedging. The yew hedging came as instant hedging. The gravel also provides a clear note of the different areas.

The walls for the raised beds were built matching the the bricks to the existing brickwork. They are also designed to a height so that you could sit on them.

The garden landscaping was developed with much consideration. The log shed is a bespoke log shed that fits perfectly between the door and the window. Purposely designed to be right outside the door so you don’t have to travel too far to fill up the log basket on a cold winter night.

The planting plan has been designed to add scent and all year round interest to the garden. We also re-purposed many of the clients plants that were in pots.

If you’d like some garden inspiration and need garden landscaping please don’t hesitate to us. We design in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Berkshire from town gardens to large country houses contact us for an informal chat contact us

Garden Design and Landscaping in Adderbury

We have many years of experience creating beautiful gardens and features such as patios & pathways, wooden structures, rose arches and garden borders. This garden design in Adderbury was landscaped to produce individual rooms the rose arches and the wood shed are used to help create the rooms.

Log Store
The beautiful log store was created by Little Shropshire Wood Company. This log store was designed from their styles and adjusted to fit into the garden design.

Rose Arches
The rose arches and the screen were made by our local Deddington blacksmith Rose Arch. These were designed to fit the space in the garden. The rose arches will create a country feel for this beautiful old house that was once a pub.

We created the screen by the rose to add additional interest to the garden with the scent of a rose delighting you as you step out of the door.
